Photojournalist Club, Nepal (PJ Club) with support from the British Embassy in Nepal is organizing a visual storytelling and multimedia workshop with renowned multimedia journalist DJ Clark. This workshop is designed for professional photojournalist who want to take their storytelling skills to next level.

About DJ Clark: 
Clark is a renowned multimedia journalist from the UK. He has over 25 years experience working with media organisations across the world as a video producer, photojournalist, presenter, writer, trainer and multimedia consultant. DJ is currently multimedia director at China Daily Asia, video advisor to the Asia News Network and a contributing video producer to The Economist and National Geographic.  DJ is a regular tutor for World Press Photo & British Council workshops, is a co-founder/tutor of Multimedia Train and is co-host of the Multimedia Week Podcast. In 2017 DJ was chair of the World Press Photo Short Form Digital Story Telling jury.

Requirements for application
-       At least 3 years of experience in photojournalism.
-       Be able to publish photo story in a print or online media.
-       Ability to bring a DSLR camera and a laptop during the workshop.
-       Nepali citizen based in Nepal.

Application guidelines
-       Applicant must complete the application form below.
-       Applicants must submit a portfolio in a zip file along with the application. The portfolio must contain 10 to 15
        images. If portfolio is a photo story, the title of the story and text should be included in a text (txt, rft, doc or pdf).
-       Selected applicants will be informed through email. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

The workshop
-       All participants must attend 6-day residential workshop in Kathmandu in October and a 3-day residential workshop                 Kathmandu in December (editing and finalising story). All expenses including travel will be covered by the PJ Club.
-       The participants are required to produce at least a photo story/multimedia story after the first residential workshop.

The course outline
-       Introductions Visual online story structures in a mobile world
-       Putting a story together interviewing, visual sequencing, audio and writing.
-       Making a first story: video and video editing
-       Adding context: infographics & using text with video
-       One day assignment
-       Edit & review
